Well, right now you need a ratflector connected to the ratflector, but
that would bridge all your RF traffic to the ratflector.  The
dual-port approach will allow you to participate in both, without
bridging them.  It also sets the stage for intelligent cross-band
repeaters and forwarding stations :)
